As a hosted web application, iomis does not require you to install and maintain any software locally. All you need is Internet Explorer 6 or above and access to the internet (note that iomis is not currently supported on non-IE browsers).
iomis is built using the latest Microsoft technologies, ensuring maximum flexibility, scaleability, configuration and security.

- web interface runs under ISS 5.1 or greater to support installations scaling from client PCs to web server farms
- supports Microsoft SQL Server 2005 as the back-end RDBMS for industry standard levels of performance, scaleability and reliability

- application access controlled by Forms authentication
- security permissions assigned using the concept of 'group membership' for ease of administration
